Pie and Conversation at Interbay Tiny Homes Transitional Housing

We are so fortunate to have this amazing facility right in our neighborhood. LIHI (The Low Income Housing Instititue) runs this village of about 100 residents. At the Tiny Homes Village, residents receive autonomous housing, getting them off the streets and into a more secure and stable environment. While staying at the Village, residents are provided the help they need to get back on their feet, including case workers, mental health care, assistance in getting ID papers pulled together, connections to Rehab opportunities, and more. As the resident is ready and as long-term low-income housing becomes available, residents are transitioned into full apartments.

Each Thursday, from 2-3:30, members of MUMC (along with some other friends) head to the village to serve pies (because who doesn't love pie!), coffee and iced tea, and just hanging out to chat.  It's a wonderful time of getting to know some of our neighbors, and providing some smiles and a sence of normalcy to the residents at the village.  Join us any week!
